De retour d'une sortie de classe, un groupe d'élèves rencontre un auteur réputé qui cherche un personnage pour son livre. Une fillette enthousiaste se porte volontaire. Hailey volunteers, and the writer flattens her out, folds her up, and stuffs her in. Hailey does not like being in the book — she feels folded and scrunched and trapped and stuck, and asks the kids to get her out. They try scratching, pulling, twisting, and squishing the book.
