Lynx
The lynx is any of the four members of the Lynx genus, which includes the Eurasian lynx, the Canada lynx, the Iberian lynx, and the bobcat. They can be identified by their characteristically short tail, as well as their small size in comparison with other members of the large cat classification.
- History: Of the four lynx species, the bobcat, Eurasian lynx, and Canada lynx are classified as animals of least concern, whereas the Iberian lynx is considered endangered by the IUCN.
